This interview is in English

James S. Henry had it all … and walked away to follow the money. A Harvard-trained lawyer, and former chief economist at McKinsey & Co., he gave it up to spend decades exposing some of the most dangerous financial criminals on the planet. He’s gone after Mexican drug cartels, Russian-American kleptocracy ties, the billions Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos looted, and reported extensively on the offshore havens sheltering some of the wealthiest tax evaders. His on-the-ground fieldwork helped convict Panama’s Manuel Noriega, and he helped Paraguay recover hundreds of millions stolen by the Stroessner dictatorship.

He consulted on the Panama Papers and his film features, We’re Not Broke (Sundance) and The Price We Pay (Toronto Film Festival), brought tax haven scandals to mass audiences. He’s also testified before the US Senate and written for everyone from The New York Times to Financial Times.

Now he’s joining us online to tell you exactly how the system works – and who it’s working for. Join us at the couches on May 19th, for an interview (and chance to ask your own questions!) with James S. Henry, Global Justice Fellow at Yale and founding member of the Tax Justice Network and United Against Money Laundering.
