Israel-Palestine Interview Series
3 & 6 Dec, 13:00-14:00, Location TBA
Room for Discussion is proud to announce a new interview series. Israel’s wars in Gaza and South Lebanon have been raging for long and evoked fear, anger and despair not only in the Middle East but also in many parts of Europe. We have felt the strong differences in understanding and opinion, not only in the media, but also at our university.
Room for Discussion wants to offer a moment/space in which the war and the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be discussed openly and respectfully. For this, we will hold two interviews at the beginning of December.
On the 3rd of December, we will discuss topics of reporting and journalism in the context of Israel’s war in Gaza and the second intifada with the Palestinian journalist Taghreed el-Khodary. Click here to read more.
On the 6th of December, we will have a hybrid interview with American-Israeli author Yossi Klein Halevi on the role of history and narratives in Israel’s war and the difficulties in reconciliation between Israel and Palestine.
The venues for both interviews will be announced soon, please keep an eye on our website roomfordiscussion.com.
