It is a great honor to be part of Room for Discussion, and I am pleased to introduce myself. I am Thomas, an engineering and philosophy graduate now pursuing a master in Economics at the University of Amsterdam. Why I joined room for discussion? Well, I love discussion. And rooms. And bad Jokes. Looking back at my (almost ending) student ‘career,’ I see how many experiences—whether it is advocating for student housing or participating in international debates—have helped my ability to question anyone sitting in front of me while still engaging with diverse perspectives. I’m excited to bring this same energy to Room for Discussion, bringing a mindset that’s both curious and open while still asking the tough questions!
