Sefa Conference 2013: New Economic Thinking
On the 31st of October, Room for Discussion was part of the Sefa Conference 2013! This year’s conference will be hosted in the Rode Hoed – a beautiful historic building in the heart of Amsterdam. At the Sefa Conference you will discover everything about the theme: “New Economic Thinking”. The theme is about changes in the economic world and in our current way of thinking about economics. Six thought-provoking speakers convey their interpretation of the rapidly changing economic environment, and what this means for our fundamental understanding of the world. By transforming your point of view, they place the opportunities of the future in clear focus. The speakers are:
Marike Stellinga – Columnist for NRC and economist. She is a frequent guest in Dutch talkshows like Pauw en Witteman.
Josh Ryan-Collins – Senior researcher at the New Economics Foundation.
Peter Blom – CEO of the Triodos Bank and co-founder of the Sustainable Finance Lab.
Fons Trompenaars – Management thinker and consultant. In 2011, he was ranked in the Thinkers50 as one of the most influential management thinkers alive.
Bas Haring – Philosopher and author of the book ‘Voor een echt succesvol leven’.
Marcel Canoy– Columnist for FD and economist. Senior partner at Ecorys and author of the book ’Triple A Econoom’.
